Sheroes Hangout

Sheroes Hangout

Sheroes’ Hangout, founded by the Chhanv Foundation in 2014, is a unique café run by acid attack survivors. More than just a place to eat, it’s a safe space where women can rebuild their confidence, gain livelihoods, and challenge societal stigmas with strength and dignity.

During your visit, you’ll be welcomed by the inspiring women behind the café and invited to take part in a cultural activity such as macramé thread work or receiving a traditional mehndi (henna) design. You can also enjoy a meal or refreshments, turning your stop into both a culinary and creative experience.

With the support of the CARES project and partners like Planeterra, Sheroes’ Hangout provides survivors with access to medical care, emotional healing, and meaningful employment. Every visit helps sustain this journey of empowerment — creating opportunities for women to grow in confidence, share their talents, and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
